Program Objectives

As technology continues to expand, the role of the computerized administrative assistant continues to evolve. They handle a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to run an office more efficiently by supporting members of the executive staff.

Some of their duties include:

  • Performs a variety of administrative and clerical functions
  • Composes correspondence, manages databases, and creates reports
  • Uses and understands computerized software such as database applications and the creation of spreadsheets
  • Accesses and provides information via electronic communications software, Internet, and e-mail

  • Knowledge about word processing, spreadsheets, and database management programs
  • Proficiency in keyboarding
